I saw this view one day while doing some long lens work at Pipeline. I know many of the surfers in this frame. I like them a lot, and care about what happens to them.

Joel Tudor is amazing. Way more to that man than most will ever know.

Then there is Bethany. I first met her one day at Off The Wall as she and Mike Coots, another shark attack survivor, were getting ready to paddle out. Housing in hand I had actually teased them a bit about the missing limbs. Each absolutely floors me with their heart and talent.

Then there is Maya Gabeira. I first met her when Carlos Burle brought her to a K38 ORT course in Morro Bay. I got to train with each, and carried out my assignment with helping to get Maya prepared for what we knew lay ahead for her.

Here is the reason I am writing this particular post.

Nothing and no one are ever really what they seem to be. Everything has a potentiality which will reveal itself in time. Hold that thought close in the coming years.

What I write and the information I include in my blog postings, those things are not for  everyone. My intention is to empower the few.

This is why I do that.

One person who is well trained and disciplined, in spirit soul and body, can hold up and care for a thousand. Two such people together can manage ten thousand. I have seen this.

In the coming weeks I will be placing more posts up here and disseminating a lot of pertinent information.

I am doing that in the hopes that you will become that one of two, who are not like the others.

My prayer is that you prosper, and be in health,  just as your soul prospers, and you learn to draw upon a source of strength greater than any one of us.

This matters more today than at any time in our recent history as a species.
